When I became pregnant, I was overwhelmed by how many technical features maternity and nursing clothes suddenly needed – snaps, zippers, complicated cuts. It all felt too engineered and far from natural. I wanted something that felt more intuitive, more like motherhood itself. After 15 years in fashion industry as an e-commerce and marketing strategist I followed my vision and started Kayo :). Mom of 2 (9 & 6).

I remember borrowing old-school pieces from ourmother's wardrobe, restyling them, and wearing them for years – some of which I still have today. When I became pregnant, I didn’t want to buy maternity clothes that would only last for a few months. Instead, I wore my partner’s shirts and dreamed of universal pieces – items I could continue wearing as a woman, regardless of the phase of life I was in.
